Blah blah blah blah nice weather blah.

Jordan and I had a good Sally show last night.

By the way, the dream-o-meter is already on 352.

Whoever enters a dream next will have entered the 350th dream.

For now, check out #349.

Me: "Did you cut your hair?"

Casey: "No. Why, does it look funny?"

Me: "No. It looks shorter."

We saw Palomar at Mercury Lounge. And talked to them after. They are the best band in the world.

Look at that! It's 3-4-5. Dare I write a song?

Went to Bowery Poetry tonight to see Huggabroomstik. I lied at the door and said I was in the band. Little did I know I'd actually get to perform in the band later on. Earlier, Dibs and Dashan and I went to NYU in search of the open mic, but it was nowhere to be found. We ended up hanging out at the Pizza Box on Bleecker St. Ran into Casta from EF on Bleecker further east, she'd been at Bowery too! And then saw Rebecca Keith from PS3 (who remembers Danny Shopsin, and says he works at TekServe!) at the place. Casey and I went next door and had shots and beers for relatively cheap. And at 12:40 Huggabroomstik played. Lineup: Dashan-guitar,vocals, Neil-guitar,vocals, Chris-bass,vocals, Brer Brian-bass#2, Monica-drums, Flossie-vocals,etc, Dibs-guitar,vocals, Misha-piano, Sam-guitar (breaking all strings but one), Me-tambourine,vocals, Dan&Brook-percussion,vocals,etc. That's 12 people. Wow! There were not quite as many as that in the audience, I must say. But we had an excellent time.

On the subway home I finished the 2nd of the two books Dibs lent me (The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and the first one was A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius). It lasted exactly until it was time to leave.

Snuggled with the cat for a little while and took some cute pictures of the two of us. Then I shut him out of the room. Was that mean of me? Now I'm listening to self-titled Elliott Smith. It's the best one.

Happy Birthday John.

Hello from the gynecologist's waiting room! Here we have wireless internet and nice track lighting. I'm having black coffee and a chocolate marshmallow bar.

It was strange walking over here. I'm two blocks away from my high school. And I've been reading a book about kids in high school. Oh days of prom and burritoville and open mics! I miss you, yet am glad I am nowhere near you.

Chris Maher's Blog. Thanks for the name credit, Chris! Now make that link work!

Does anyone remember the blue-and-white Ellsworth Kelly painting that was at the Rose Art Museum at Brandeis in the fall of 2001?

Ann's wearing a sweatshirt today that looks exactly like it. I cannot for the life of me find an image of it on the internet. I google-image-searched for a half hour. Oh, what I'll do for a good formal similarity!

At the laundromat, my bra hook became entangled in one of the holes in the dryer-side and I could not get it out. The metal was hot and I tried my best. A man who was waiting for the dryer had to help me. He winked and said he was "an expert". I found the situation a bit embarrassing, but tolerably so.

Dan, wasn't it you who said you liked going to doctors? There is something really satisfying, or at the very least interesting, about getting procedures done and getting one's body inspected.

Got a physical Monday (apparently they don't weigh you anymore, or maybe they forgot) and a filling today (mouth still numb). Tomorrow I go to the one for you-know-what and I still need to make opthamologist and dermatologist appointments. I'm going to be shiny and new for the springtime.

My mom's been emailing me from all around the world. Shanghai, Tokyo. She's been to Singapore too I think, and then she's off to Belgium, probably Paris and Italy too. Eating lots of good food and living it up on the job. And flying business class!

Meanwhile, all I want to eat is a hamburger from Jimbo's.

Last night was Phoebe's Fest show. Chris, Casey and I were her backing band. Man, that was fun. Tambourine and backing vocals, I was feeling the skillz. I must get it from Miss Anneth. I impressed both Phoebe and myself with my thorough knowledge of her song lyrics.

I was dead today at work. Too many drinks of different varieties last night. I'm fading fast but now I have a meeting with Heather about tinkering with the site I made for her, then I'm meeting Melissa at Pianos.

Mary Lou Lord added Dream Bitches as a friend on MySpace. She remembered me from Beverly when we were street-mates and sent me a message. I wonder how she found us? Maybe through Catie Zappala. She's a cool lady.

Um, um, umm. I feel much less responsible than I did the other day when I had my grown-up spree. I forgot to mention that I got my Salem Army Barracks coat dry-cleaned that day, too.

Fo shizzle, click this.

Here I am at WBAI 99.5 FM, 120 Wall St, with a lot of other Sidewalk people. We're live on the radio! On Bob Fass' radio show. Dan just played a song, and Phoebe's next. We're drinking Diet Sparks.

Other people here: Dibs, Jon Berger, Paula Valstein, Rob the Comic, Rav Shmuel, Miwa, Lach, UK people (Milk Kan, JJ Crash, David Cronenberg's Wife, and Filthy Pedro). And some more people I don't know.

Yay! Phoebe is playing the England song!!!

I did lots of grown-up things today. I made three doctor's appointments, went to the post office, got a new cell phone, and opened a new bank account. All before work! I'm so accomplished it hurts.

Happy Birthday Melissa.

Yikes!

I'm awake so early!!!

Let's see how well this awake spell lasts. Got things to do, but I don't know if I remember how to do them.

So, I've been all distracted and busy staying up all hours of the night. What did I forget to mention? Maybe the fact that we had an awesome party last Wednesday celebrating the release of our cd.

Thanks so much to everyone who helped out, performed, and/or came to watch! Genan & Rodrigo on merch, Ryan on bar, Kathryn and Melissa on door, Judy with video, Emily with art hanging, John and Casey on sound, Carol and Ben with beer runs. Jordan for doing an awesome job MCing, Christy for DJing my favorite songs between sets, Cheese on Bread for doing one of the best sets ever (which included a song I wrote when I was 14, that I had NO IDEA they had learned! holy fuck), Nan and Matt for rocking out the night before leaving on world tour (woooo!), Tomorrow's Friend for showing up to play having no idea who any of us are (and being awesome), GynoCult for being dirty and entertaining, and all the artists who put in work for the walls. Thanks especially to Nicole, Nell, Sara, Elisha, Mark, Jess Fairbanks and John Mahoney for traveling from afar for the event! And most of all thanks to Casey, Julie, jen.knee and Jordan for fleshing out the Dream Bitch experience. And thanks to Ann.

If you would like to purchase a cd, email me, or do so at olive juice music.

The day after the party me and the Montserrat contingent walked around in the park and saw the Gates. We have that special connection with Christo&J-C since they came to our school that time (scroll down to November 19th to see Nell's photo of them)

And then on Saturday me and my mom and Charles and Dibs saw the Gates from the 44th floor of a hotel, arranged by Montserrat. They didn't have any food, just crappy dollar store cookies and bottled water.

Paraphrase of a real conversation.

"My drummer was dating a whore. A real prostitute! I didn't get along with her one bit."

"Oh. So then she was a bitch, too?"

I love my photo printer to death. My Aunt Donna was so right in giving it to me.

YAY! I got two packages today. One is a cd from Carrie Bergman, of her music projects (Dinoswords). It is so nice to listen to. I'm on the third time already! I will send her some things this week. The second was Kristin's painting for the art show!!! She called me yesterday and said she was overnighting it. Yes, express mail does work. And it only cost her $13. I should try expressing something sometime.

There's art coming out of the printer. We are a machine.

{ 02.15.05 / 12:57 A EST }

YAY! The Common Boar is back in action! Looking good, Nicoley. Those are nice country-style pho-toes.

Went to see the Baby Skins at their CD release. So good. The perfect valentine band. No wonder it's their tradition.

{ 02.14.05 / 01:29 A EST }

Cool! Carrie, Justin and Matt got inspired by the last Abstract Extract project and they did their own. Check it at Bergman's Bear.

Speaking of those kids. Ned was here in New York last night and I randomly called him looking for the definition of VAX/VMS. Then he said he would call me in the morning, and never did.

Happy Vallingtime's.

{ 02.13.05 / 12:03 P EST }

I woke up today and felt like it was Christmas. We're having a band run-through at Carroll Music! I'm so excited.

Who is Abraham? And why does he like this website? I don't feel like I've done anything but report daily crap for months. This website needs a pep talk.

{ 02.11.05 / 09:08 P EST }

Happy birthday Meaghan!

I talked to her as she was driving from Salem to Beverly to have dinner at Siam Delight with Kate and Tim. Mmmm, that sounds good right about now. Cesar's having a party tonight and I'm going. There will be food and drinks and music by Dan and some others! I can't wait! Where is Dibs? He is supposed to be here so we can walk over there together. I am hungry. And thirsty, and wanting to hear some musical entertainment. Mmmmm-hmmmm.

Meaghan and Kate and I might make biscotti with the star anuses (which were delivered to Kate by Meaghan) in the coming weeks. Whenever I get it together to head up Massachusetts-ward again. Or they might make them and mail them to me. That sounds good right now too.

Oooh, time to go.

I was on Friendster really late last night looking up really old friends, like nursery- and elementary-school friends. I found Ry and Cade Russo-Young, Annie Simon, Annie Bergelin, Jessie Montgomery, and Sara Morales. I could not find Sara Femenella, although I did find her in a google search. And yes, I did friendster-message all of them. The weird thing is that Ry is friendsters with both Lexa and Cesar, who I know in totally different ways. Uh huh. Friendster is Crazy! Fuck that shit up!

Today is the one-year anniversary of this incarnation of Yerka Manor. That is, the 5.0-ness of it all.

Apparently the guestbook does not take to HTML. What Nell meant to say was that she is

N Naive
E Energetic
L Luscious
L Luxurious

Me, I wanna be cool, tall, vulnerable and luscious.
